Love the term, “Fluffy Clutter.” Now I have a category and name for boxes and other items that tend to grow in number and a way to assess each item’s usefulness. And, if item is not useful, a strategy to eliminate it.

I actually did this this morning before I saw this video. Had about 10 boxes outside my front door that I had needed to break down for days. Was going to take them to the paper dumpster, but those were all full, so now they are sitting in my parking space. I realized while watching the video that I do have a few empty boxes in my bedroom. Will break them down tonight. Great video. Thanks. Only problem is that the cats will want their boxes back, but no worries, as I have an Amazon package arriving today.
I think my fluffy clutter is plants that are past their prime. I hate giving up on a plant…but I don’t need as many as I have.
Very helpful! you mean i can throw away some of these boxes i’ve been meaning to put the clutter in? that would be a relief! thank you Sarah!
Thanks, Sarah! My fluffy clutter is bags and bags of Easter egg grass and decorations – going away tomorrow because I don’t decorate for Easter!
This video was so helpful and encouraging. Thank you!
I enjoyed this video. First time I’ve seen you. I need you to come to my house!!!!
I consider fluffy clutter a “quick win.” Take it to the trash, recycling bin, whatever and “boom” I’ve made a dent in my decluttering already. It’s very motivating.
Dear Sarah, I watched this last night and tonight my husband told me the plumber is coming next week and we have to clear stuff out so he can work. We started after supper and just did fluffy clutter. We both feel less discouraged about getting ready because we cleared a lot away that was mostly empty boxes! The video couldn’t have come at a better time! Thank you so much!
Karen, we are so glad to hear this! Great job!
